Make: Dropped Sponson Three Point Hydroplane. Frank McLeod design and frame pack.

Engine: Nissan SR 20, 2 Litre stock @ 170 HP.

The Frame Pack was built by Frank Mc Leod ( A well recognized New Zealand race boat builder ) of a Lauderbach style.
The Frame Pack was purchased by Reg Winters of Nelson New Zealand in 1981 who went on to build the boat. Reg used the finest of New Zealand Native woods to complete this well constructed Hydroplane. Reg Ran the boat with a 2.0 litre English Ford (4) cylinder which he bolted on a home built Turbo set up. Reg had several Trophy placements in the South Island where he ran the boat.
It was later sold to Brian Cardiff of Levin N.Z. Brian placed the Nissan motor in her that is running today. Brian ran the the boat in the
2.0 liter & 3.0 liter classes with several notable placements right up to 2006.
16 1/2 ft length. Runs with a 2.0 litre 170 HP Twin Cam Stock Nissan Motor.
History:
Built and raced by Reg Winter in Nelson, New Zealand from 1981, with several winner circle placements running a ( 2 Litre Ford ) and a home built Turbo set-up. Sold to Tony Mc Caar in Nelson New Zealand but never raced.
Bought by Pauleen & Bryan Cardiff from Levin, New Zealand. Wairarapa Power Boat Club, Barney Rhodes Memorial Regatta 3rd place 2003 & 2004, Wellington Power Boat Club, North Island Championship in 2 litre Hydro, 2nd place 2004, Manawatu Power Boat Club, Carl Augustine Challenge Cup for 2 litre inboard Championship. 2nd place 2004, 3rd place 2006.
Bought by Paul "Kiwi" Russell of Vancouver B.C. Canada and Imported in May 2007. To date: have run once at Pateros W.A. in Vintage Class and plan on attending as many Vintage events as possible.
